Técnicas de holografía acústica para la validación rápida de hologramas acústicos

Abstract

Direct measurement of the acoustic field by point-to-point scanning results in very long acquisition times and, when volumetric data are required, the times are in many cases unaffordable from an experimental point of view. This is the case of the field produced by an acoustic hologram, where the generated acoustic image has in many cases a complex three-dimensional structure. In this paper we present the use of holography techniques for the rapid estimation of the acoustic field produced by holographic lenses over a whole volume of interest. We present an application case, reconstructing the field of an acoustic vortex, where the helical structure is correctly recovered along the entire ultrasound beam. This method provides volumetric information in a fast way that can also be used to check the correct functioning and uniformity of transducers, and thus validate therapeutic ultrasound devices.
