Abstract
Slow sound metamaterials make efficient use of the strong dispersion in duct loaded by resonators together with the associated attenuation. These structures enable an increase of the density of state at low frequency while maintaining impedance matching with the surrounding medium. We show that slow sound metamaterials are efficient tools to design deep-subwavelength absorbers and metadiffusers.
